Salmonellosis infection reminder KINDER
Tuesday April 5, there are 21 people in France
case of salmonellosis.
According to the health service of Public Health France, the salmonella infection of around fifteen people is clearly linked to the ingestion of
Kinder chocolates.
Obviously, the majority of infected people are middle-aged children, but we also observe cases in children aged 4 years old.
Eight children among these cases were hospitalized but have now all returned home.
An announcement made by the Italian group Ferrero indicates above all not to consume
Kinder chocolate part of certain batches in France.
THE
Ferrero group certified in a press release this Monday evening that no product
Kinder on sale on French stalls had not been contaminated by
salmonella.
But on Tuesday, Public Health France firmly denied this information by announcing that 15 cases of salmonellosis in France were indeed linked to the ingestion of
Kinder chocolates.

Pizza Buittoni affair: It has been confirmed that pizzas from the Nestlé group brand are contaminated by E. coli bacteria. Symptoms and risks
Gastrointestinal disorders
We call
salmonellosis a disease caused by bacteria
Salmonella ".
The symptoms of salmonellosis are primarily gastrointestinal problems.
The WHO (World Health Organization) lists various other symptoms such as, I quote, “a sudden onset of fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and sometimes vomiting.”
Generally these symptoms described can appear between 6 to 72 hours after ingesting the infected food. These problems may last for at least 7 days (2 days for less severe cases).
The majority of symptoms due to salmonella infection are not serious. In fact, most infected patients recover without taking treatment. But this does not exclude other cases “particularly in very young children and the elderly, the associated dehydration can become serious and life-threatening”, indicates the WHO.

What is the cause of this salmonella infection at Kinder, owned by the FERRERO group?
You should know that these bacteria “salmonella” develop in the body of a large majority of domestic and wild animals. It is therefore quite likely to find these bacteria in animals that are reserved for human consumption.
These “salmonella” bacteria have the capacity to pass through the entire food chain, from animal feed to food production, to finally reach the consumer.
